Lovable pricing: plans, credits, and what a credit buys
Every plan is priced in credits, and a credit buys more or less depending on the change. The full ladder, real examples, and the costs people miss.
Lovable has four plans. Free gives 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month. Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits and Business at $50 for 100 credits, each with larger tiers up to 10,000 credits, and two months free if you pay yearly ($21 and $42 a month). Enterprise is custom. Since June 2026 one credit balance pays for building, for Lovable Cloud (your app's database, storage and functions) and for AI features inside your app. A change costs between about half a credit and a few credits depending on how complex it is, and every message shows its exact cost.

How much does Lovable cost?
From Lovable's plan docs (Lovable):
- Free, $0: 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month.
- Pro: 100 credits for $25 a month, 200 for $50, 400 for $100, 800 for $200, and on up to 10,000 for $2,250.
- Business: 100 credits for $50 a month, 200 for $100, 400 for $200, up to 10,000 for $4,300.
- Enterprise: a platform fee plus credits by volume, on an annual contract.
Paying yearly gives two months free: Pro's 100-credit tier is $250 a year ($21 a month) and Business's is $500 ($42). Students get 50% off Pro's 100-credit plan for 12 months.
Business costs twice as much per credit, for the same features plus SSO, role-based access, the security center, internal publishing, personal projects, and data excluded from training. Pro and Free data may be used for training unless you opt out, since September 9, 2026.
What does a Lovable credit buy?
Building is priced by complexity, not per message. Lovable's own examples (Lovable):
- "Make the button gray": 0.50 credits.
- "Remove the footer": 0.90.
- "Add authentication": 1.20.
- A landing page with generated images: about 2.
Plan mode costs 1 credit a message. Chat mode costs a fraction of a credit and comes out of a free daily chat allowance first, an arrangement Lovable says runs through October 31, 2026. A stopped request is charged only for the work done, and every message shows its cost under "Credits used." Long runs pause to check in once a message passes 20 credits.
On those examples, Pro's 100 credits cover roughly 100 small-to-medium changes a month, and the 5 daily credits add up to about 150 more if you build every day.
What about Lovable Cloud and AI costs?
Your app's backend draws on the same credits:
- Cloud: database size and uptime, storage, network, edge functions and realtime, all billed in credits by use. Free projects run on the smallest database size (Lovable).
- AI in your app: each call to a model is billed by the model and tokens used, at rates "based on the underlying provider model costs."
- Monthly grants: Free, Pro and Business get 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month, used before your general credits; Lovable calls these a temporary offering.
Publishing to a lovable.app address is free. Before June 2026 the free Cloud allowance was $25 a month; the 20-credit grant works out to about $5 at Pro's $0.25 a credit, so the free allowance is much smaller than it was.
What happens when you run out of Lovable credits?
- Building stops; work in progress pauses until you add credits or the next day's 5 arrive at midnight UTC.
- Chat keeps working while that day's chat allowance lasts.
- AI features in your published app stop working, and Cloud backends pause until you add credits and click "Wake up."
- Your published site stays live.
Top-ups ($15 for 50 credits on Pro, $30 on Business) last 12 months; monthly plan credits roll over for one extra month.
What's included in Lovable's free plan?
5 credits a day up to 30 a month, the daily chat allowance, private projects, GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket sync, and up to 5 lovable.app addresses. Not included: editing or downloading code in Lovable, custom domains, removing the "Edit with Lovable" badge, top-ups, or a database larger than the smallest size. Workspaces on Free and Pro hold up to 200 editors.
How much is Lovable in India?
Lovable prices in US dollars, so Pro is $25 a month in India too, with tax details entered at checkout (Lovable). Lovable's pricing page mentions "regional plans" whose daily credits are capped at 30 a month, but no rupee price is published.
